How Does Period Swimwear Work?

The response is a definite YES!
These period swimwear pieces look just like stylish regular swimsuits but have a hidden absorbent lining. They are perfect for a worry-free swim during light to regular flow periods, just like our period underwear which are also discreet and not bulky.

The waterproof feature of our swimwear means that you can enjoy the pool or beach without the discomfort of wearing a pad or tampon! "I have worn this product while swimming in the pool and sea. I wear it for at least 30 minutes before swimming, and because the bust support is good, I can wear it without a bra. I need proper support for my bust. I have stress incontinence and feel very confident wearing this."

"The period swimsuit has been a lifesaver for me! As someone who is perimenopausal and experiencing unpredictable periods, I can finally enjoy swimming without worrying about any unexpected surprises. I had gone two months without a period and then suddenly had a week-long one, but the suit handled it perfectly. I used to avoid swimming for a few days when I was on my period and didn't want to use tampons or menstrual cups, but now I can spend up to 30 minutes in the water without any issues. This suit has given me the freedom to enjoy swimming again without any stress or anxiety."

The absorbent lining is thinner than some period pants, so it's not recommended to wear them alone on your heaviest days.

However, the gusset is antibacterial, breathable, and quick-drying. The outer fabric is treated with a water-repellent coating. This helps prevent water from the pool or sea from penetrating the swimsuit.

To ensure maximum effectiveness, make sure the swimsuit fits snugly around the legs to prevent any gaping when moving.

The layers in our swimwear are designed to differentiate between blood and water based on their absorbency and wicking properties. The inner layers are tailored to rapidly absorb and retain blood while repelling water to prevent leakage. Conversely, the outer layers are hydrophobic and repel water, aiding in containing the blood within the inner layers. This distinct absorption and repelling of fluids contribute to comfort maintenance and leak prevention.

You can soak the clothes in cold water for a while, and then gently squeeze out the blood stains with your hands. Avoid using fabric softener or bleach. Rinse repeatedly with cold water until clean, then air dry without using a dryer.
No, it wouldn't. Our swimwear is treated with a waterproof surface, causing water droplets to bead on its surface rather than penetrate into the fabric. This helps effectively maintain the dryness and comfort of the swimwear.

How Does Period Underwear Work?

Period Underwear refers to underwear specifically designed for menstruation. It features the function of absorbing menstrual blood and preventing leaks, aiming to replace or be used in conjunction with traditional menstrual products such as pads or menstrual cups.

Period underwear are designed to fit women of different body shapes and menstrual flows. Beautikini offers products in a variety of sizes and absorption levels to suit different needs.

Absolutely. Since Period Underwear has absorbent and leak-proof functions, it can also be used at other times, such as premenstrual periods, postpartum, or for light urinary incontinence.

It depends on individual menstrual flow and comfort. For those with lighter flow, Period Underwear may completely replace other products. However, on heavier flow days, it may be necessary to use it in conjunction with other products to provide additional protection.

Generally, if cleaned and maintained according to the product instructions, Period Underwear can last for 2-3 years.

It is recommended that first-time users of Period Underwear try them at home to understand their absorbency and determine if additional protection is needed before going out.

Yes, because Period Underwear provides long-lasting protection, many women choose to wear them at night to ensure a restful sleep.

How To Wash It?

Rinse: As soon as possible after use, rinse the period panties in cold water until the water runs clear to remove most of the menstrual fluid.

Wash: Place the period panties in a mesh laundry bag to protect them from getting snagged or stretched in the wash. Use a gentle, fragrance-free detergent to wash. You can hand wash them by gently scrubbing or machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle without fabric softener, bleach, or harsh chemicals that can break down the absorbent layers.

Dry: After washing, hang your period panties to air-dry or lay them flat on a clean towel. Avoid using a tumble dryer, as the high heat can damage the elasticity and the protective layers of the fabric.

Cold water and soap: Apply solid soap or laundry soap to the stain, gently brush with your hands, and then rinse with cold water.

White vinegar and baking soda: Make a solution of white vinegar and baking soda (washing soda), soak the underwear, and then gently rub the stained area.

Sun drying: After drying, direct sunlight can help further bleach and remove stains.

When dealing with stains, do not use hot water, as it can make protein-based stains (such as blood stains) more difficult to remove.

It is best to separate period panties from other clothes or use a laundry bag to isolate them to prevent cross-contamination and damage.

Yes, washing new pant can remove any chemical residues that may be present from the manufacturing process and help activate the absorbent layers.

It is not recommended. Boiling may damage the fabric and absorbent materials of period panties. Following proper washing and drying methods ensures hygiene.

It is not recommended to tumble dry period pant as it can damage the fabric and reduce its lifespan. It's also suggested to avoid putting them on direct heat sources like radiators.
